Following orthopaedic surgery, whether due to injury or disease, you will need to spend some time recovering from the surgery. However, whist still in hospital, you will have been taken through a list of exercises by the hospital physiotherapist. These exercises are important to prevent complications in the early post-operative period.
These initial exercises need to be followed by a period of rehabilitation where you start to regain your strength, flexibility, function and range of movement in the affected limb. At Equip Rehabilitation, we liaise with your surgeon to ensure that your treatment program includes any special requirements, based on your surgery.
