Stephen addison

Stephen has been practicing as a Physiotherapist since 2011 following completion of a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Masters of Physiotherapy from Griffith University.

 

Stephen has gained extensive experience in neurological rehabilitation within public and  private hospital and community settings. Stephen has worked as a Senior Physiotherapist at both the Gold Coast University Hospital and at the Rockhampton Base Hospital.

Stephen’s clinical interests include all aspects of rehabilitation although has a particular interest in working with those that have been severely affected by stroke or brain injury. This interest was sparked by the rehabilitation of a close family member after a stroke.

 

Outside of work Stephen enjoys his time with his family and most things outdoors such as  camping, golf, mountain bike riding and fishing.

Jess Bull

Jess graduated from Griffith University in 2014 with a Masters in Physiotherapy and Exercise Science. After gaining experience within the hospital setting Jess developed her love for rehabilitation further in the community, treating a wide range of neurological, orthopaedic, and cardiorespiratory conditions. 


Jess enjoys managing complex presentations and working with her clients to problem solve and help them achieve their goals. Jess works with Bond University assisting in the teaching of Neurological Physiotherapy. 


When not working Jess enjoys chasing around her three young boys, being an enthusiastic but average surfer and is a self proclaimed coffee connoisseur. 

Juliann Desjardins

Juliann graduated from the University of Sydney in 2016 with a Masters in Physiotherapy. She has primarily worked in private practice and occupational health, treating a wide range of conditions from acute musculoskeletal injuries, to managing chronic pain and permanent impairments.


Health and exercise has always been a priority in Juliann’s life. She is passionate about helping others achieve their own physical activity goals, and making sure they are getting the most out of their bodies. She uses pain management strategies such as soft tissue release and dry needling, as well as individualised exercise programs to target balance, coordination, stiffness and strengthening to help patients live comfortably and move safely.  


When Juliann isn’t working, she’s busy being a mum to two young daughters and participating in various athletic pursuits including running, swimming and kayaking. She also looks forward to her annual overseas holiday to visit her family in Canada and New Zealand.

Vera Oldnall

Vera started her career as an Assistant in Nursing for Southport Hospital on Orthopaedics Surgery ward. She switched to Physiotherapy Assistant 1.5 years later, where she has over 10 year’s extensive experience working in the Neurological Rehabilitation, Stroke and Acute Wards for Gold Coast University and Robina Hospital.

 

Working under Senior Physiotherapist she brings a lot to our team, with therapy experience in Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis , Huntington’s, Guillain-Barre, Spinal Cord Injury, Orthopedics, Amputees etc.

She brings Diversity, Empathy, Passion, Goals, Ethical Beliefs, Smiles and lots of positive energy to clients.

Coming from New Zealand to reside in Australia over 22 years ago, she brings a lot of cultural knowledge and family importance being Maori/Chinese/European heritage.

 

Outside of work Vera enjoys Nature, family time, camping, caring for animals, all creatures great and small.

Justin Haines

Justin graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from the University of Queensland in 2016. Since then, he has gained a wide range of experience in both hospital and community settings.

 
Justin has worked within rehabilitation facilities at Roma, Rockhampton, Gold Coast University and Robina Hospitals. While working, Justin also completed a graduate certificate in rehabilitation through James Cook University. These experiences have given Justin a variety of knowledge in the treatment of patients with neurological impairments, particularly stroke and brain injury. Through working at a number of different hospitals, Justin has also gained knowledge and experience in areas of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic injury.
 

Outside of work, Justin enjoys spending time with his partner and young daughter, as well as running, triathlon, and tennis! 

Tracey Richdale

Tracey is a senior physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy from New Zealand in 2012. Tracey also hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Physiotherapy specialising in women’s health and continence from Curtin University. Prior to completing my degree I was in the Royal New Zealand Navy as a Medic for 13 years. 

 

Tracey’s passion is for working with adults to help them regain their functional abilities after injury or illness. Tracey is dedicated to providing personalised care and rehabilitation programs to help my patients return to the tasks they were able to do prior to their health challenges.

 

Outside of work Tracey enjoys surfing and spending time with my two young children, as well as my dog and cat. Tracey is committed to staying current with the latest advancements in physiotherapy practice to ensure the best possible care is provided to her patients.

ARE WE THE RIGHT SERVICE FOR YOU?

Equip Rehabilitation provides a specific physiotherapy service to meet the needs of adults that require rehabilitation, typically following a neurological diagnosis, accident or for mobility/balance concerns. We also provide pulmonary rehabilitation for those with respiratory disease.

 

We are not the best service for those with sport related injury, acute musculoskeletal pain or paediatric presentations. If you are unsure if the service is right for you, please contact us to discuss your needs.
